While ISO 22000 sets out food safety management standards, FSSC 22000 is a broader scheme recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), making it widely accepted in the global food industry.

FSSC 22000 covers three main areas: food packaging manufacturing, transport and storage, and food and feed for animals, each with their own technical requirements.

FSSC stands for Food Safety System Certification 22000, an internationally accepted scheme for food safety management.

ISO 9001 focuses on quality management for all industries, while FSSC 22000 is specific to food safety for the food sector.
